Welcome
Gutter Guard not only protects your gutters from leaves, debris and pests entering your roof, it also reduces the risk of fire damage to your property. In accordance with the Australian Standard AS3959-2009, homes that are built in any Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) area must ensure that any holes larger than 3mm are covered by an ember guard with holes of 2mm or less.
Our Gutter Guard product is aluminium, non-flammable AND has holes of less than 2mm so is therefore also classed as an ember guard! Be careful with your local suppliers and manufacturers claiming “ember-guard” products, as many do not actually meet these requirements.
That is where Gutter Guard is different, and will guarantee meeting these specifications to protect your house from fire damage in accordance with Australian Standard.
It lets the water in and keeps the leaves out! Keep your gutters leaf free for all four seasons.

BUILDING IN AREAS PRONE TO BUSHFIRES
The following has been taken from the Australian Standard AS3959-2009, which was updated following the Victorian bushfires in 2009. It prescribes minimum construction requirements based on the Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) of each site. The BAL’s are explained below;
BUSHFIRE ATTACK LEVEL (BAL) |
RADIANT HEAT EXPOSURE |
RISK LEVELS AND PREDICTED BUSHFIRE ATTACK LEVELS EXPLAINED |
BAL – LOW |
Insignificant |
The risk is very low. While there is still some risk, it is insufficient to warrant any specific construction requirements. |
BAL – 12.5 |
0 to 12.5 kW/m2 |
The risk is low. The main concern is a risk of ember attack. |
BAL – 19 |
12.5 to 19 kW/m2 |
Risk is considered moderate, with a risk of ember attack and burning debris ignited by wind borne embers. Likelihood of exposure to radiant heat. |
BAL – 29 |
19 to 29 kW/m2 |
Risk is considered high, with an increased risk of ember attack and burning debris ignited by windborne embers. Likelihood of exposure to an increased level of radiant heat. |
BAL – 40 |
29 to 40 kW/m2 |
Risk is considered very high. There is a much increased risk of ember attack and burning debris ignited by windborne embers, with an increased likelihood of exposure to a high level of radiant heat. Some possibility of direct exposure to flames from the fire front. |
BAL – FZ |
40 kW/m2 and above |
Risk is considered extreme, and an extremely high risk of ember attack and burning debris ignited by windborne embers. Likelihood of exposure to an extreme level of radiant heat and direct exposure to the flames from the fire front. |

About the product
It lets the water in and keeps the leaves out! Keep your gutters leaf free for all four seasons.
Our Gutter Guard is an expanded aluminium mesh with a hole size less than 2mm. It fits onto your gutter lip and then onto your roof, creating a self cleaning gutter guard that works. The leaves simply land on the mesh and the wind blows them away.
This is different to other products that are installed inside your gutter because they prevent self cleaning from occurring.
Fits to all different roof types
Aluminium Gutter Guard can be cut to size to fit all roof types. Including corrugated, trimdeck, tile, box gutter, flat and so on.
Prevents birds & pests from entering roof
Gutter Guard is a strong, durable, aluminium mesh that is resistant to vermin of various sizes. (From birds and possums down to cockroaches and mosquitoes) They cannot chew or get through our product.
Reduces risk of fire & water damage to property
Our aluminium gutter guard has a flammability index of less than one and has been approved by CSIRO and all local councils as a suitable bushfire deterrent.
Powder coated to match your roof colour exactly
Our premium powder coated Gutter Guard is different to other products that are simply spray-painted or painted on the mesh. We can match all BHP Colourbond roofing colours.
